What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Ours is called TEDxMarin, where x = independently organized TED event.

10th Annual TEDxMarin Recap

What is TEDxMarin?

TEDxMarin’s overall mission seeks to connect and collaborate with organizations, individuals, educators, companies, gifted speakers, community leaders and thinkers whose vision align with ours: building strong, smart, understanding communities through education, innovation, new ideas and a spark of entertainment.

SPEAKING @ TEDxMarin   If you would like to submit a nomination to speak at a future TEDxMarin or a TEDxSalon, please visit our Guidelines and Submission page or call the office at 415-785-8873 to ask about the process.

NEXT EVENTS/ATTENDING   Join our Member Mailing list to get advance invitations (and discounts) to upcoming events. We are primarily an invite-only event series.

VOLUNTEERING   We are always looking to add great volunteers to the team. Apply here

At our annual gala event, we film 6-8 new TEDTalks on a broad-reaching theme and includes a vibrant social component to spark deep connections within our community. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized and funded. We appreciate your support.

Our TEDxSalons go deep into one specific topic, with insights from leaders in their field. These Salons will promote thoughtful inquiry, broadened points of view, and include time for a moderated Question and Answer segment between our featured speakers and audience questions.

See all our previous Talks here.
